Grass Hut & Hungry Eyeball present Balls Out Thee third

PinterestFacebookTumblrEmailShare

We did the first balls out show……. it was a blast. I was blown away to see some many top shelf artists in one room, and in the pacific northwest no less.
2+ years went by and we did balls out number 2. Blown away again. some new artists, some returning artists. My eyeballs are shooting rainbows into my head. Most people think it’s only been a year since the first one. Time flies when yer having fun.
One year later and now it’s annual for real. Balls Out thee third. 40+ artists from around the globe prepare to shatter your brain with killer paintings. All crammed into tiny ol’ Grass Hut.
My drive behind everything Grass Hut is to bring people together and show you stellar works of art. A chance for anybody in the pacific northwest to get close and personal with art we love.
Come celebrate rad art with us!

name:
big klutchie

when i say brightness… what comes to mind?
sunburned snowblind eyeballs

when i say darkness…
until the light takes us

what’s your preference, brightness or darkness?
both are equally necessary. That was the whole idea behind my “shit is not all good” thing

name:
nicole linde

when i say brightness… what comes to mind?
sunshine, starlight, fire, life force, consciousness

when i say darkness…
mysterious, wormholes, subconscious, deep sea

what’s your preference, brightness or darkness?
both, and in relation to each other

name:
jon macnair

when i say brightness… what comes to mind?
color, shiny, intelligence, moon and stars, reflective

when i say darkness…
quiet, nightmare, solitude, meditative, the unknown

what’s your preference, brightness or darkness?
darkness

name:
ryan thompson

when i say brightness… what comes to mind?
intellect, light, illumination

when i say darkness…
shadow, void, emptiness

what’s your preference, brightness or darkness?
brightness

name:
robert bowen

when i say brightness… what comes to mind?
vivid colors, an intelligent person worth talking to, what you see when you jump to light speed in the Millennium Falcon

when i say darkness…
I think more of a mood rather than a lack of color

what’s your preference, brightness or darkness?
oddly, I like both. my work has been described as brightly colored darkness

name:
natalie phillips

when i say brightness… what comes to mind?
intensity, color, aggression

when i say darkness…
silence, peace, depth

what’s your preference, brightness or darkness?
i would rather take a nap on a south facing hill

name:
rebecca artemisa

when i say brightness… what comes to mind?
light on water, little saint halos, birthday cake icing, sun behind clouds, ghosts!

when i say darkness…
i will need a flashlight

what’s your preference, brightness or darkness?
i prefer to have a light in the dark, so i suppose brightness
