Cherchez La Femme: Art From Portland

PinterestFacebookTumblrEmailShare

Bear Fox by Amy RuppelRevival Drum Shop is celebrating the ladies! “Cherchez La Femme: Art From Portland” will show what 15 extremely talented women are doing to keep our fair city on the tips of everybody’s tongues when talk turns to what’s happening in the art scene.

The show was originally conceived as a complement to Tom Tom Magazine‘s round-table discussion about Portland’s amazing female drummers. It seemed natural to draw attention to the fact that these drummers are also accomplished visual artists. The scope of the show expanded to become a showcase of the profusion of extraordinary art that Portland women are producing.

“Official” show opening with artists’ reception on Friday, February 5, 2010, from 6-9pm. Up through February.
