
Starting April 1, 2011 and continuing each afternoon throughout April, people along Hawthorne Blvd. will be treated to live art-making by 30 different artists for the fundraiser An Artist a Day. Now in its third year, the event showcases the works of local artists, a number of whom are incumbents from years prior (designated with asterisks *) As each piece of art is completed, the works are displayed and auctioned through silent bid at Muse Art and Design to benefit Schoolhouse Supplies. The pieces will then be available for bidding April 1 through May 12, with artwork images and details posted at www.AnArtistADay.com.
All artwork will be created onsite at Muse Art and Design in Portland, each day from noon to 5 pm. The artists, the dates they are scheduled to create, and mediums are as follows:
