Teeny Tiny Shiny ShowTilde in Sellwood will host a First Friday reception for six artists from 6:00pm to 9:00pm on Friday, December 3rd, 2011. Each have created original art work for The Teeny Tiny Shiny Show that are 4” x 4” in size, ready to purchase, and perfect for the season.

Artists in this show include:

Kate Bingaman Burt showing work about consumption

Vivienne Strauss showing her newest paintings of women who have influenced her over the years.

APAK-The magical duo of Aaron Piland and Ayumi Kajikawa Piland who have created rich and colorful gouache/acrylic paintings on wood featuring the utopian lives and adventures of curious little beings living in lush fantastic environments surrounded by friendly little animals.

Nicole Linde shows artwork inspired by myths, the supernatural, outer space, fantasy, and dreams.

Michelle Maule’s artwork comes from the quiet moments in life, moments that are often overlooked and never given a second thought, but hopefully captured in her paintings to be forever be remembered.

Jenna Robertson utilizes all found materials, mainly wool, to creates machine and hand sewn collages which are both allegorical and abstract.

Tilde, a modern lifestyle shop + art gallery, offers a well-edited selection of accessories, and home decorative items that are original creations by individual artists and design groups. Displayed in a home/gallery environment, each product sits near an artist’s statement to reveal the story behind each artistic creation.

Open the DOOR to Sustainability Art Event

Saturday June 19th, 2010  | Portland’s historic Bison Building |  6-10pm

Open the DOOR to Sustainability is a unique art show and fundraising event to benefit The ReBuilding Center and Sustainability. Inspired by the work of renowned NW artist LeRoy Setziol, artists from the local region are creating works of art from reclaimed doors. These doors, along with many other exciting things, will be auctioned at the event.

In addition to  original artwork the event features live music, delicious food catered by Abby’s Table, Ned Ludd, and Phresh Organic Catering and a hosted bar full of local beers, wines and spirits.  Learn more about the event or purchase tickets now!
