Hope Less ObamaIs Obama hope less?

One year later and a lot of people are asking, “Where is my change?”. Unfulfilled promises or inflated expectations? Either way there is growing dissatisfaction with the promise of hope. Commemorating Obama’s first year in office Portland Oregon artist Klutch and Diesel Fuel Prints have teamed up to release an art print reflecting perhaps a more realistic message.

Inspired by Barack Obama’s image of hope, Klutch puts it this way, “ I LOVE black metal and have been going through some f**ked mental episodes lately. The Hope poster seemed like a good vehicle for expressing that I personally am not feeling too hopeful these days. Attacking an icon of hope seems perfectly fair and based on the reactionary responses I would say it is necessary.”

Black Metal Obama print is available at the Diesel Fuel Prints

Klutch will also be apart of the first Hungry Eyeball show titled “One” on Feb. 19th, 2010 at Lyrik in Portland, Oregon. Art will be available online in the Hungry Eyeball Gallery on the 20th! Stay tuned and Stay in the moment.

Looks like Alice Obama, I mean Barack Cooper. Nice work though. With corp’s now able to spend without limits on elections we are more screwed than ever. Obama keeps appointing Monsanto people, expanding wars, can’t get us basic healthcare… I need a drink!

    Nice work!
